Today is my first blog. Let me introduce myself in some 500 words
I am Anurag Mahapatra, born in Roorkee, brought up in the sweet city of Ranchi, graduated in Btech from BHU, Varanasi , then joined TCS Mumbai to move to the dream country of USA(At Albany) and Europe(Oslo).
Came back to India and got married currently at Mumbai, Mira Road.Back home at Bhubaneswar , my mother and brother live .I really cherish Bhubaneswar for it's quiet serene and wide streets, the airport, the temples .
My wife is from Bhubaneswar and an Mtech . She is currently working as a lecturer at Borivali(W).She is hugely sensible , pragmatic and has a sense of warmth that fills the room.
We are slowly getting used with our temperaments.One consensus we have,We are made for each other for next 7 lifes.
My life on this planet started on the quiet city of Ranchi.For a long time(std V) , I was then bit oblivious with the world.With a little inspiration from my brother and uncle, I started doing well in Maths and Science. . This stint continued until I cleared IIT JEE with a ranking of 2000 as well as Bihar Engg(Rank 178).I had also got increasingly spiritual and well acquainted with Osho Rajnish and other similar spiritual thoughts.But this did not continue for more time as I realised that this is not my cup of tea.
At college in Varanasi, I was drawn more toward RSS than anything else.Since I was not convinced totally, I did not join the full outfit .Life at IT BHU can be described as an expression of the youthful times with energy overflowing to do something.
Now I have joined TCS mumbai working for some dumb project . It was branded to me as a product brokerage development project .Later it was more of a farce project.I esacaped from this after 1.5 yrs and then joined at a project in General Electric. I was sparkled with the living pattern, the people and country in USA.Never thought in my dreams if life is so good.I had some good time doing long distance driving in the fast lanes of I-95(Joining NY to Florida) and I-87(Albany to NY) and also NY to Niagara.Sky diving, camping, casino were some other fun.
I returned to India only to join a Europeon based project in Oslo, Telenor.Here I got a chance to work in good development Oracle projects like Single Sign On and OID which I was fascinated to.
Some kayaking ,Glacier walk and sking on snows of oslo were other charms.
I have now arrived in Mumbai working as full time Apps DBA with 10g admin.I am now well versed with Oracle DBA,Unix Administration But never knew that Government projects can be so frustrating.
India economy was booming and I was exploring the real estate and stock market.Stock market crashed in January 2007 and I just had a narrow escape.
